New Citi security SMS
We will always alert you by SMS if we identify suspicious activity on your debit card purchases, however you may now also receive an email or automated voice alert. All methods enable you to reply instantly by SMS to 63363 (or +44786006512, if a non--UK mobile number), by email to securityalert@security5.citi.com or by voice message to 08082800912 (or +448082800912 if a non--UK mobile number) and confirm whether the purchase is genuine or fraudulent, 24/7. If you reply with 'Y' regarding the activity we messaged you about, you can continue to use your card as normal. If you reply with 'N' confirming suspicious activity, we will take immediate action to secure your debit card.
Our alert number has changed. We will only ever ask you to reply to an alert that has been sent from 63363 and +44 7860 065 121 (as an SMS), securityalert@security5.citi.com (as an email) or 08082800912 and +448082800912 (as an automated voice alert). Please update your records accordingly.
Alerts are only free when you receive and reply from a UK number (wherever you are). When replying from a non--UK number, you will be charged according to your mobile phone's network provider.
As a Citi client you'll automatically benefit from this service, just make sure we have your up-to-date mobile number. You can do this by calling Citiphone on:
Citi clients – 0800 00 55 00; +44 2075 00 55 00 (if calling from abroad).
Citigold clients – 0800 00 56 00; +44 2075 00 56 00 (if calling from abroad).
Please note this service will not be applicable for mobile numbers which belong to US, France, Italy and India.
